I AM TIRED

I am tired of convicted felons, philanderers, wife beaters and drunks invoking the name of God as a cloak of righteousness to hide their misdeeds and evil intentions.

I am saddened by all who readily submit to being beguiled by those evil sycophants. The current assembled cast of perpetrators who are in power worldwide abuse the faithful. Trump et all, Netanyahu, Putin and Isis (to name but a few) use Christianity, Judaism and Islam to assert their claim to divine authority, but one only need to turn to their cited prophets to unravel their misdeeds and expose their heresy.

If God is love than all that is not love is not of God. Justice, mercy, forgiveness.  The current ICE campaign is not of God; it is persecutory, vindictive, spiteful and unjust. The perpetrators have seized control over the halls of justice and freed those who sought to overthrow democracy through murder and mayhem, their deeds no different than the money changers who took over the temple of old, and the hallways of justice are now awash in the tears of all who are suffering injustice, victims of cruel and illegal deportations.

What is notable of late that in Rome two men have taken a stand and have sought to bring the Gospel back into the pulpits and the mission of the Church of Rome. Two monastics, sworn to poverty and sacrifice, Francis and Leo.
